Cricket News : Under the leadership of captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Mumbai Indians registered their fourth consecutive win by defeating UP Warriors by eight wickets in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) match played on Sunday. With this, Mumbai has stepped on the threshold of knockout.

In response to 160 runs for victory, Mumbai scored 164 runs for two wickets in 17.3 overs thanks to a half-century innings of captain Harmanpreet (53 not out) and an unbroken third wicket partnership of 106 runs with Nate Siever-Brunt (45 not out). Easy victory won.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, UP Warriors did not have a good start and the team lost its first wicket for just eight runs. Kiran Navagire (17) hit some attractive shots but she too could not stay at the crease for long. After this, captain Alyssa Healy (58) and Tahlia McGrath (50) shared a quick 82-run partnership for the third wicket to take the team’s score to 140 for three. But as soon as this pair broke up, the team of UP Warriors could only score 159 runs for six wickets.
